GNCC Round 13 Oct 28, 2007

Crawfordsville, IN - This was the final round of the 2007 GNCC season. Track conditions were perfect, especially when compared to the dry, dusty conditions that have plagued the series this year.

Team rider Dustin Gibson made the move from XC2 to the XC1 Pro class. Dustin finished 5th in class! Dustin will compete in XC1 in 2008.

Kailub Russell got off to a good start before having a slight mechanical issue. After an extended stop, Kailub got going again and finished 12th in class.

Jordan Ashburn (250A) had to sit this round out due to a forearm injury sustained in a local race the prior weekend.

Team XC1 rider, Jason Gilleland succumbed to his lingering wrist problem. Jason is looking at an extended recovery period and will not ride for the team next year. Jason finished 11th in class points and showed great determination this season by finishing every lap despite struggling with carpal tunnel. We appreciate everything that he brought to the team this year.

New to the team for next season, Cory Buttrick (2007 250A champion) made his debut with the team in the 4-stroke A Lites class. Cory came to grips with the 250XCF and defeated the class champion by over 6 minutes! Cory was a remarkable 12th overall.

It was a great season for the team! We appreciate the GNCC series and all of its staff as well as the support of the sponsors and fans. We look forward to the 2008 GNCC season!

GNCC Round 12 Oct 14, 2007

St. Clairsville OH - Round 12 of the 2007 GNCC series greeted riders with extremely dry and fast conditions.

In XC2, Kailub Russell was riding the 250F for this race. This time it was Kailub grabbing the holeshot! Kailub had a solid ride going before having to pit for crash repairs. He finished the day in 6th position.

Dustin Gibson was caught up in a start line crash that put him in the back of the pack for the first lap. He gathered it up and came back to 6th place before crashing hard in the dust. Dustin was unable to continue and finished in 12th.

Team XC1 rider, Jason Gilleland, suffered terribly in the dusty conditions. Jason overcame multiple crashes to finish 12th in class.

Jordan Ashburn had a tremendous race from the 4th row. Jordan was second in 250A and finished an amazing 16th overall!

With one race left in the season, the team is set for 2008. Stay tuned for exciting news!

GNCC Round 11 Sept 30, 2007

Yadkinville NC- This was the 11th round of the GNCC series and as usual this season, it was very dry.

Jason Gilleland was the highest finishing team rider this weekend. Jason pleased the crowd with “trick riding” on the last lap as he entered the pit straight. He was most effective with wrestling his motorcycle to the ground. After taming the unruly beast he finished 11th in the XC1 class.

Dustin Gibson got off to a great start by grabbing the “Holeshot Award” on his KTM 250XCF. Dustin sheared off his rear brake line, crashed and returned to the pits. Dustin proceeded to set his highest personal score on “Guitar Hero”.

Team XC2 Pro Lites rider and current 200A champion, Kailub Russell tested the structural limits of his kill button. After making repairs in the woods and losing a lap, Kailub rode brilliantly and put in some great laps.

Jordan Ashburn suffered from a multi bike pile-up off the start and moved up to fifth in 250A before suffering from an unusual crash induced mechanical failure. Jordan was the second person to finish in his class. Too bad it was before the checkered flag fell.

Overall it was an uncharacteristic Bad Weekend for the team… but we looked good.
